Welcome to Women's Financial Connection

Our tagline is Financial Literacy for Women and Girls.

Not sure what financial literacy really means?

The President's Advisory Council on Financial Literacy defines personal financial literacy as "the ability to use knowledge and skills to manage financial resources effectively for a lifetime of financial well-being". (2008 Annual Report to the President)

But, we know it goes beyond that.

The organization Edutopia adds: Financial literacy emcompasses more than just personal finance. To be finanicially literate, an individual does need to be fluent in personal finance, but also in global economics, entrereneurship, and investing--all on a platform of real-time technology. https://www.edutopia.org/blog/what-is-financial-literacy-lennette-coleman

Wow. Put these two together, and it seems overwhelming. It doesn't have to be -- if you have a basic foundation about various parts of your personal finance life.

Just like everything in life, taking little steps first allows us to go faster later on.

That's what the Financial Freedom Party for Women is about. Small steps to financial literacy in a conversational and fun party format. Learn about things most of us don't learn at school (including college) or from our parents.

Maybe now you have a new term to add to your vocabulary. Reach out to your friends and family. Try the word out on them. What do they think it means? Maybe you will teach them something new.

Learning about money doesn't have to be all black and white and boring. It can be a colorful, fun, and highly beneficial experience.

Thanks for stopping by to check us out.
